Minister of State Mary Butler TD endorsed the new Dungarvan & West Waterford Chamber ‘Menopause in the Workplace Support Packs’ saying “Congratulations to the D&WW Chamber, on launching the first ‘Menopause in the Workplace Support Packs’ in Ireland. We know that 51% of the workforce in Ireland are women, all of whom will go through the Menopause at some point. It’s great to see this topic being addressed head on. This Chamber is excellent at assessing all types of workplace and business issues, including those most sensitive to create a better, more empathetic and encouraging work environment.”
The Dungarvan & West Waterford Chamber was also the first Chamber in Ireland to run an online collaborative event working with The Menopause Hub. The online event attracted business owners, managers, supervisors, team leads, menopause at work & wellness at work ambassadors and HR professionals. The participation demonstrated a demand that employers and workplaces wish to support women during menopause.
