Fixed term contract – Young Microbrush Ireland (Dungarvan)
We are seeking a warehouse team member for our base in Dungarvan for a 6 month fixed term contract. You will be part of a developing team in a busy transitioning warehouse environment. We are seeking a hardworking, energised individual who can think on their feet, work to efficient process methods and adapt to various roles. We require an individual who prides themselves on their commitment and work ethic who is looking to develop the role within the business and the team to ensure the growth, sustainability of the site. Strong computer skills are essential for this role and experience working with an ERP system and counterbalance forklift certification is desirable.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Picking and packing products.
- Assisting with the unloading of vehicles and the checking in of stock as per protocol.
- Sorting and placing materials or items on to racks, and shelves.
- Collecting items from throughout the warehouse, preparing and completing warehouse orders for delivery or pickup according to a schedule.
- Performing warehouse inventory controls through a computer.
- Stock counting and location checks.
- As a warehouse operative you will be working both alone and as part of a team with efficiency and commitment to complete your work.
- General warehouse work as requested by warehouse manager to maintain the environment and stock in a safe and accurate manner.
Key Competencies
- Essential to possess Strong computer skills.
- Counterbalance forklift qualification.
- This role best suits upbeat and self-motivated individuals who enjoy working systematically and productively.
- A moderate level of fitness to enable you to comfortably carry out your tasks safely and consistently;
- Picking and packing products can involve a substantial amount of walking and manual handling including bending, stretching, stooping, stepping, reaching and lifting.
- Having a good range of mobility is important to ensure you can work safely within health and safety regulations without placing undue strain on your body.
- Ability to prioritise and work to a safe procedure.
- Ability to work safely in a fast paced and energised environment whilst ensuring a high level of organisation, efficiency and accuracy.
- Good organisational skills/ reliability and dependability literacy & numeracy ability to meet the physical demands of the job.
- Upbeat and energised Flexible and willing take on a variety of tasks A Team player with a great attitude.
