Crazy features are fixed in scenic spaces in the ‘Dressing Dungarvan for Summer’ project.
Wacky and original Summer attractions providing fun picnic spaces have been made especially for Dungarvan where you’re invited to grab a seat under a big ice lolly, double scoop cone or maxi twister.
Enjoy some summer fun compliments of the Dungarvan & West Waterford Chamber through its ‘Dressing Dungarvan for Summer’ initiative supported by Waterford Council.
‘Animation of space is so important these days,’ says David Walsh, President, Dungarvan & West Waterford Chamber, ‘while we’re all spending more time outdoors, it’s meaningful to have imaginative spaces to enjoy. A Pop Up Picnic Park with fun picnic tables is a simple concept everyone can enjoy.’
Mayor for Waterford, Cllr Damien Geoghegan said, ‘the backdrop of Dungarvan is stunning and a perfect place for outdoor enjoyment. Outdoor space has never been so utilised or valued, this is appreciated and acknowledged by the Waterford Council who have readily come on board to support this project. This is part of a multitude of outdoor programmes Waterford Council have backed, particularly since Covid19. Dungarvan’s outdoor space has an abundance of appeal, adding quirky and entertaining features for all ages to enjoy is like adding the sprinkles on top!’
The beautifully crafted unique features are lovingly made by EveryEvent and have an amusing appeal for all ages. The Pop-Up Picnic space will be on tour in Dungarvan during the Summer.
