It starts with the Mercyhurst students returning for another semester. They will be here on March 4th for 10 to 12 weeks. Many of them will be visited by friends and family during their term in Ireland and hopefully they will make their way across your threshold regularly.
The Waterford Festival of Food will attract many thousands as usual to our area. The festival is April 15 – 17 in 2011 and an enormous calendar of events is being compiled to suit all tastes & ages.
Easter follows the festival and who knows, the weather may follow the traditional sunny Aprils we have enjoyed in recent years thus attracting many visitors to our area. All of who need personal items, accommodation, food and souvenirs etc.
The Global Intelligence Forum is returning again – what a coup! This will be from Sun 10 – Tue 12 July. All these delegates arrived with shopping lists in 2010 and no doubt they will in 2011 also.
Feile na nDeise, the Ardmore Pattern festival, The Sean Kelly Tour, the Waterford Adventure Race, return to the Déise Festival will all make a return also attracting people and spend to the area.
In addition to this there is still in excess of €60,000 Chamber Shopping Vouchers in circulation, so display your sign high & proud that you accept these.
