Not boasting or anything, but we just can’t contain ourselves!

‘Boasting Dungarvan’, the promotional campaign, will be splashed across social media all summer for a second year. Put together by the Dungarvan & West Waterford Chamber this campaign boasts all the fantastic aspects of our town, its environs and the fantastic businesses that contribute to Dungarvan’s success, all proudly supported by Garvey’s Supervalu Dungarvan.

Liam Power, manager of Garvey’s Supervalu said: “the massive impact of the Boasting Dungarvan 2021 promotional campaign, which generated engagement from nearly 120,000 people, proved there is an widespread appetite for fantastic footage of the all the wonderful things that make Dungarvan one of the best places in Ireland to live, work stay & play. Modifying the concept was a natural progression for this year and we are delighted to support the campaign again.”

Jenny Beresford CEO Dungarvan & West Waterford Chamber said “We are so pleased to work with Garvey’s Supervalu on such an uplifting campaign for a second year. Garvey’s Supervalu are really community orientated and know that supporting their town ensures their business is supported. Garvey’s Supervalu have a great history supporting local businesses with their various academies and initiatives, they jumped on board again immediately.

This year, themes include businesses who are Risk Takers, those who are Long Established, those who are Award Winners, there is a short video featuring Sponsors of Community Activities and one on those businesses who contribute to the quality of life, wellness and  R&R aspect of our community.“

The series of short, themed videos are filmed and edited by award winning creator John Bermingham from All That Can Be Productions.

The feedback was so encouraging in 2021 that these videos will be shared again during the 2022 Summer. Videos from last year include stunning footage of the Castle Green, Davitts Quay, Grattan Square along with activities like Things To Do, Shopping, A Dogs Day Out, and the ‘pièce de resistance’ a video depicting the song ‘Dungarvan My Hometown’ – voiced by actor Moe Dunford.

‘Boasting Dungarvan’ will start again soon across the Dungarvan & West Waterford Chamber, Dungarvan Tourist Office and Garvey’s Supervalu social media platforms, highlighting the tremendous proposition Dungarvan has to offer through commerce and community for  everyone to enjoy.

If you love Dungarvan, it’s OK to boast about it 😉
