Community Services is currently recruiting for several community employment placements, 19.5 hours a week over 3 days, Monday to Saturday (Rota based Tourist Office) and Monday to Friday (Rota based Chamber of Commerce).

Participants must be eligible for Community Employment (check with your local DSP office) and will receive a payment in addition to their current DSP payment as well as accredited training and coaching in their role to enhance their employment prospects.

SALES COUNTER ASSISTANT – PLANT & TOOL HIRE

Fraher Plant & Tool Hire require a Sales Counter Assistant.

Knowledge of the plant and tool hire industry is required but not essential, any further training will be given.  You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our plant and tool h ire services.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to – Customer Service, Counter Sales, Daily logistics of the company and administrative tasks.

The ideal candidate should have good IT and communication skills.

  • Manage bookings, occupancy rates, income and expenditure and preparing appropriate reports for return to Pobal.
  • Maintain knowledge of policy and best practice in the Community/Social Enterprise/Disadvantage sectors.

  • Keeping and maintaining shop presentation standards
  • Ability to adapt to different situations while still staying completely customer obsessed
