Community Services is currently recruiting for several community employment placements, 19.5 hours a week over 3 days, Monday to Saturday (Rota based Tourist Office) and Monday to Friday (Rota based Chamber of Commerce). Participants must be eligible for Community Employment (check with your local DSP office) and will receive a payment in addition to their current DSP payment as well as accredited training and coaching in their role to enhance their employment prospects.

Tírlán is seeking a lab technician for the following duties:

  • Raw Milk analysis including a range of:
  • Chemistry methods including FTIR, Gerber, Kjeldahl; LCMS/MS;
  • Antibiotic/ Inhibitor analysis;
  • Microbiological methods including Testing of private well water, SPC, culture methods;

Key Requirements

  • A qualification in Microbiology, Food Science, Chemistry or equivalent quality-related course;
  • Knowledge of and track record in the Agri/Dairy sector is preferable but not essential;

  • An ability to interpret test data and problem-solving skills;
  • Flexible and dynamic with good organisational ability;
