OPERATIONS MANAGER

Lismore Castle Arts are hiring a operations manager.

Main responsibilities:

  • To administer the Friends Scheme membership & benefits programme
  • To oversee the booking, delivery and payment for Gardens & Gallery group bookings
  • To manage the recruitment and training of Visitor Services Assistants
  • To assist with marketing activity associated with exhibition and events
  • Assist with ideas to generate audiences, both new and existing
  • To update and manage the FileMaker database
  • Manage guest lists for exhibition launches & book guest travel
  • Manage fundraising administration – updating Arts Council financial reports and applications, manage reporting in collaboration with the Curator and Exhibitions Co-Ordinator
  • Update Visitor Services budgets and report to curator
  • Report gallery / visitor figures to Heads of Departments as required
  • Manage Duty Manager and the Front of House team;
  • Manage non-exhibition related events programme – Halloween Screening, Easter Egg Hunt, Wreath making etc;
  • Oversee Visitor Services H&S requirements, standards, professional practices
  • Assist in management of front of house facilities, upkeep and maintenance of spaces
  • Manage LCA admin – monitor lodgments and journals (specifically related to tour group income, Friends scheme income, online sales, Visitor Services credit card). Monitor figures with accounts department regularly to ensure accuracy, especially at half-yearly stage and end of season
  • Continue to improve efficiency in areas such as Friends Scheme processing and tours – improving digital signup and payment systems
  • Improve and contribute to social media promotion of LCA, monitoring social media data. Generate ideas for social media news stories in consultation with Curator
  • Generate ideas for front of house profitability in the shop, fundraising opportunities, sales of tickets and publications
  • To support the planning and delivery of activities across Lismore Castle Arts, including events and education programme
  • Attend public or stakeholder meetings as appropriate with or in lieu of curator
