• Sell €200,000 worth of Chamber Vouchers which will be used only to buy products and services sold within this region

  • Assist our member employers who  collectively employ  2000 local staff, including offering assistance to those filling positions through the JobBridge and JobsPlus programmes

  • Propose and lobby Waterford County & City Council on a number of  other  Economic Stimulus initiatives, some of which were extremely successful in 2014, like the Painting Scheme in our town centre and the Retail Excellence Ireland mentoring programme.

  • Build on the success of the Chamber Business Community Awards and encourage even more entries this year.

  • Organise relevant and varied events for members (including Afterhours, Business Breakfasts, Training Courses and Seminars on various topics). These events encourage education, B2B sales, relationship building, ideas sharing, PR and a strengthening of links within our community.  

  • Welcome more new members to ensure we maintain a strong voice on all matters impacting local business. So far this year we have 10 new members!

  • Progress “Dungarvan Aglow” by increasing and enhancing the activities, events and illuminations that attracted attention to our town right through the Christmas period and yielded hugely positive responses from visitors and local shoppers.

  • Develop the activities of Dungarvan Tourist Office and implement a more integrated tourism plan for the area involving all local businesses.

  • Make representations at various forums to ensure Dungarvan & West Waterford receives due funding, commitment and priority from our newly merged County & City Council.

  • Promote specific funding calls for business development

  • Support local festivals by providing funding, advertising and taking part

  • Promote Special Offers and Good News social media and  on our website

  • Contribute to weekly newsletter, keeping the community up to date with each other’s good news, services available and sharing tips on how to be better in business.
