Businesses and employees benefited from a higher bonus tax threshold in 2016, so voucher orders from businesses were well up on 2015 and previous years. Children were also big recipients of vouchers this year as there are so many places in which children can spend the vouchers.

“It’s great to see so many businesses benefiting from vouchers this year.  ALL types of shops, services and hospitality businesses are benefiting from this money being kept in the local area. Members are delighted to accept vouchers and see the benefit of them in their takings” says Jenny Beresford, Chamber CEO.

“We are grateful to local businesses for believing in and supporting the voucher scheme over the years, and huge thanks also go to everyone who chose to keep our area in business by purchasing them throughout the year. “

”It’s a win-win – the recipient has a huge choice of different shops and services when redeeming their voucher and the purchaser knows they are keeping business local and securing jobs. Every single voucher purchase contributes to the success of the scheme, so we encourage everyone to remember Chamber Vouchers when looking for gift ideas throughout the year”

Chamber Shopping Vouchers are available from the Chamber Office, The Plaza, Capitol Cleaners, O ‘Connell St. and the Dungarvan Tourist Office all year round and a full list of the participating businesses can be found on the here.
