As part of our continuing mission to promote Dungarvan as a great place to work, live and stay, the Dungarvan and West Waterford Chamber developed a ‘Welcome Pack’ to support people moving to Dungarvan.
Attracting innovative, skilled people to West Waterford is essential to our economic development – our aim with this project is to provide key information and contacts to help people settling here feel comfortable and part of our community.
This pack contains a wide range of information, from essential contact numbers to community groups and activities. We’ve consulted with a number of people who have moved to Dungarvan, both from within Ireland and Overseas, to ensure that the Welcome Pack is practical, up-to-date and useful. The feedback we’ve received on the completed pack has been extremely positive, and it in considered an asset when selling the area as the ideal place to live, work , stay & play.
The pack includes sections such as Moving to Dungarvan, Getting Set up, Education and Things to Do. This project, which supports the community, is proudly sponsored by GSK Dungarvan.
The packs are available through a number of businesses and offices including real estate agents and solicitors in the area, through our Library, Tourist & Chamber Office. Local companies recruiting professionals are also sending this pack on to potential employees to sell the quality of life and make the option of moving to Dungarvan an even more attractive one.
