LABORATORY TECHNICIAN

The role of Laboratory Technicians is to prepare and analyses customer food samples keeping in mind efficiency, quality and accuracy standards as required by the company. Upon commencement of employment a training plan will be initiated for the Technician and will be discussed with the Technician as part of their development plan.
- Preparation of food samples for analysis.
- Become competent in the laboratory work practices and requirements that facilitate analysis.
- Become familiar with all relevant laboratory test methods and procedures i.e., SOPs.
- Ensure that all client samples are tested on time and notify a Senior Technician / Laboratory Manager of any time delays.
- Accurately log samples into the system in a timely manner.
- Complete all documentation on time, accurately and legibly.
- Check weights and temperatures in line with company procedures.
- Ensure that the laboratory is stocked with pipettes, autoclave bags etc.
- Ensure Compliance to the 17025 standards at all times by adhering to the in-house quality procedures provided
- Keep their training sheets up to date and initiate training where possible when able to do so.
- Adhere to all company standards in the area of safety, housekeeping, and quality, notifying a Senior Technician or Laboratory Manager of any discrepancies.
- Keep the laboratory area clean and tidy.
- Clean laboratory equipment as required, including fridges, incubators, water baths etc.
- Ensure that all sanitiser bottles and beakers are filled and changed regularly and the correct control labels are attached to them.
- Ensure that there are no reagents or media available in the laboratory that have past their expiry date.
- Ensure that all documentation relating to customer samples is filed.
- Take part in proficiency testing as instructed by a Senior Technician.
- Provide cover for other members of staff as required and participating in the Weekend Rota.
- Be flexible to work in any area of the business as is required.

KITCHEN PORTER

The Kitchen Porter will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen’s by maintaining cleanliness and supporting the kitchen team in various tasks.
Main Responsibilities
- Responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient cleaning of the back house areas, including plate wash, pot wash, canteen, still room, kitchen and fridges.

Packaging Engineer – Dungarvan

As a Packaging Engineer you will be responsible for all pack design changes (New Product Introductions (NPIs), Product Transfers, and Site Changes) in support of pack changes and packaging supply goals for local Haleon and External Supply Pharma sites.
This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:
- Responsible for technical Pack Design (primary, secondary, and tertiary) activities for global supply, including pack concept development for pack changes raised through service and transformation board direction support agile request (Global Pack Management/GPM System transactions)
- Provide pack tech resource to site projects (packaging equipment, value engineering, pack design change, material changes, etc.)
- Co-ordinate line trials on site with local resource
- Create appropriate Design of Experiments (DOE) and qualification plans for packaging material system development/qualification.
- Create and/or approve component specifications and drawings.
- Provide support for problem resolution involving packaging components at sites (technical expertise and working with suppliers)
- Create and maintain packaging component drawings, specifications, and Bills of Material.
- Document all necessary packaging qualification testing of packs and pack components required for Sites, External Supply, Pack Standards, and Transformation activities.
- Contribute to site Change Controls to determine activities required with regards to packaging changes.
- Provide technical support to assessment and qualification of component supplier-initiated changes to materials and/or manufacturing processes.
