SYSTEM ANALYST

AVS

AVS – Ireland’s benchmark company in explosion safety inspection and verification

If you are looking for a technical career with long-term prospects, real responsibility from day one, and the chance to shape the systems that underpin a specialist inspection business, this is an exceptional opportunity.

AVS is currently recruiting for 3 System Analysts to join our team. This is a key technical role for a motivated candidate who wants to manage the digital infrastructure behind Ireland’s leading explosion safety inspection and verification service.

About AVS

AVS is Ireland’s only accredited, independent and impartial inspection body providing internationally recognised inspection and verification services to industry and installation contractors operating in Potentially Explosive Atmospheres.

We are trusted by industry because of our technical competence, independence and depth of experience. Our team includes highly experienced inspectors and qualified Ex validation engineers, giving our clients direct access to some of Ireland’s leading experts in ATEX and Explosion Safety.

Our personnel have significant engineering and inspection experience across a wide range of sectors, including:

  • Pharmaceutical
  • Brewing and Distilling
  • Petrochemical
  • Chemical Processing
  • Food and Beverage
  • Manufacturing

Why Choose AVS

AVS sets the standard in explosion safety verification in Ireland. Joining our team means working alongside recognised experts in a specialist field where technical competence, professionalism and recognised qualifications are in strong demand.

The System Analyst role sits at the heart of our service realisation process. You will support our inspectors and engineers in the field undertaking data entry and validation processes. It is a strong foundation for a long-term career combining technology, data and industrial safety.

The Role

The System Analyst reports to the COO and CTO and is tasked with developing the infrastructure within which the service realisation processes are completed. The infrastructure is created on a form generation software based on the specific requirements of a client and/or project. The development and release of forms and applications is monitored by the Data Operations Manager and approved by the relevant responsible authority with executive function.

In addition to this, the successful candidate will assist the CTO and Data Operations Manager with data entry processes, management of the database, data analysis and other administrative functions necessary to facilitate the service realisation processes.

This is an inspection-related activity which does not directly affect the outcome of inspections; however, the role involves the transfer of inspection-related data from multiple sources. As a result, the successful candidate shall have a Category E status which reflects AVS’s internal risk group 5. The integrity and validity of data transferred to the Transform system is monitored on a continuous basis by numerous personnel within the inspection process. As a minimum requirement, supervising personnel are required to have at minimum a category equal to or greater than 5. Refer to the AVS Risk Cat – Training Requirements Table which outlines the Mandatory, Best Practice and Task Specific requirements against each risk category.

System Analysts report directly to the QM and/or CTO.

  • Provide support to the CTO and CEO in all necessary review, documentation and processing of inspection and quality processes.
