NIGHT SHIFT SUPERVISOR
The Park Hotel, Dungarvan

The Park Hotel Dungarvan is currently recruiting an experienced Night Shift Supervisor to join our team. Candidates must be fluent in English and have a minimum of 1 year’s previous experience working in a hotel.

POSITION: Night Shift Supervisor.

DEPARTMENT: Front of House

OBJECTIVE: Responsibility for the security of the hotel and its guests overnight and set meeting and private dining rooms to exceptional standard and to guests’ specification.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure that the service offered by all team members is exceptional and memorable.
  • Handle, follow up and communicate any comments or complaints promptly. Pass on to relevant HOD’s or Managers if necessary.
  • Be familiar with and promote hotel facilities and attractions within the area.
  • Assist guests with any requests e.g. information, making bookings, directions.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed on each shift and a thorough handover takes place at the beginning and end of each shift.
  • Ensure you have a well-founded understanding of all Hotel regulations.
  • Perform any related security duties as required overnight by walking all areas of the hotel on a regular basis.
  • Record any unusual occurrences or problems arising to the Duty Managers attention for the next day and take appropriate action.
  • Ensure all access to the hotel is secure as required by hotel policy and procedure.
  • Complete all incident reports and distribute to relevant departments.
  • Communicate, work with and build a good working relationship with Front Office Day team to ensure a consistent level of service is offered throughout the hotel 24 hours a day.
  • Ensure public areas are always clean and tidy.
  • In conjunction with the Head Housekeeper, clean public area carpets on a regular basis, with additional cleaning as and when required.
  • Check in late arrivals and check out early departures in line with hotel procedures.
  • Ensure that wake up calls are made promptly.
  • Take room service orders, prepare the food and drinks and deliver to guests.
  • Provide service in the Bar after the late shift team members have finished their shift and handle all cashing up in line with SOP’s.
  • Be fully conversant with all departmental Fire, Emergency procedures.
  • Attend all fire, health and safety training to ensure the safety of all within the property.

ANALYST PROCESS CONTROL – WATER CHEMISTRY

Qualifications: A degree or diploma in a Scientific discipline

Experience / Skills

  • Prior GMP experience preferred.
  • Minimum qualification required for Analyst is a Level 7
  • Minimum qualification required for Laboratory Technician is a Level 6
  • Wet Chemistry & TOC techniques.

The purpose of this job is to carry out scientific test procedures on customers’ samples and produce accurate results within an acceptable time frame using company procedures.

  • Perform routine and non-routine analysis, as requested by the laboratory.
  • Prepare and approve results for tests in which they are deemed competent.
  • Aware of customers’ requirements and should strive to meet those requirements keeping in mind the cycle is not complete until the customer has obtained their report.
  • Deal with customer queries and telephone significant results to customers.
  • Keep up to date with any technological or method revisions in their area, ensuring their training is complete and adjusting their work as required.
  • Train other more junior members of staff in analytical techniques as required.
  • Perform QC samples in accordance with company procedures.
  • Revise SOPs as required by the laboratory.
  • Participate in the company’s weekend rota and/or overtime schedule.
  • Responsible for updating any relevant documentation when requested.
  • Identify any opportunities for improvement of quality and service and work with the team to implement continuous improvement.
