CUSTOMER SERVICE & ONLINE FULFILLMENT ASSISTANT
Irwins Mega Store, Dungarvan
Phones, parcels, people — and the odd washing machine.
Irwin’s Megastore is one of Munster’s largest independent electrical retailers, and our online store at irwinsmegastore.ie gets busier every month. We need a Customer Service & Online Fulfilment Assistant in our Dungarvan store to be the engine behind it — the person who makes sure every web order goes out right and every caller hangs up happy.
This is a proper all-rounder role, and we’re upfront about that. In one shift you might: answer a call from a customer chasing a delivery, calm down someone who’s having a bad day, pick and pack three web orders, get a click & collect order ready and hand it over with a smile, then help a colleague move a washing machine because the truck’s just arrived. Nobody here says “that’s not my job” — including the boss. If that energy suits you, you’ll love it here.
What you’ll be doing:
- Answering phones and customer queries — order status, delivery questions, product questions, and yes, the occasional difficult customer handled with patience and a cool head.
- Picking, packing and dispatching web orders — pulling stock, packing it properly so it arrives in one piece, and getting it out the door on time.
- Preparing click & collect orders and handing them over to customers in store.
- Pitching in with the wider team — moving stock, loading customer cars, helping on the floor when it’s busy.
What we’re looking for:
- Organised and careful — web orders have to be right first time, every time.
- Great on the phone — warm, clear, and calm under pressure, even with an unhappy caller.
- Physically able to safely lift and move heavy appliances (with equipment and a teammate) — this is a hands-on job, not a desk job.
- Comfortable with basic computer work (order screens, courier bookings — we’ll train you on our systems).
- Available Saturdays and genuinely happy to muck in wherever needed.
- Customer service, retail or warehouse experience is a plus but not essential — attitude first.
