DELIVERY DRIVER
Irwins Megastore Dungarvan
Irwin’s is celebrating 50 years of service. We are famous for our delivery service because we don’t just drop the box at the door—we bring it in and get it working. We are looking for a strong, reliable Driver to join our logistics team.
You do NOT need a truck licence. A standard full car licence (Class B) is fine, as long as you are comfortable driving a large van (Luton/Panel Van).
What you will be doing:
- Driving: Delivering to customers around Waterford (1 trip per week to Dublin). Moving stock between warehouses. Dungarvan – Midleton
- Lifting: These are Washing Machines, Fridges etc. You need to be physically fit and able to manoeuvre heavy items safely (we provide trolleys and training).
- Installing: You will perform “Wet Installs.” This isn’t complex plumbing—it just means disconnecting the old machine and screwing the new water hose in tightly, plugging it in, and levelling the feet.
- The Service: You are the last face the customer sees. A smile and a “no problem” attitude are essential.
What we need from you:
- Full Clean Driving Licence (Class B): You must be over 25 for insurance purposes (or have a clean record).
- “Handy” Skills: You don’t need a plumbing cert. But you must be confident using simple tools (wrench, spirit level, screwdriver).
- Strength: Manual handling is a huge part of this job.
- Local Knowledge: Knowing the back roads of Dungarvan is a big plus.

Role Requirements:
This role involves periods of standing, lifting, carrying, and reaching. You may also work in hot environments (near ovens) and cold environments (walk-in fridges) and occasionally outdoors (e.g. refuse disposal, deliveries).

Barista Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide a welcoming, engaging and friendly environment to all customers; engage with new and regular customers
- Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages such as speciality coffee and teas, and other food products (e.g., sandwiches, cakes, baked goods, etc.)
- Accurately take customer orders including all preferences
- Provide menu assistance to customers to get them what they want while serving them efficiently to maintain appropriate customer flow
- Make product recommendations, highlight various brewing methods and upsell other menu items
- Receive and take payments (cash, card, mobile)
- Provide and plate or package menu items for either on premise consumption or take-out
- Monitor proper operation of coffee machine and other food equipment; resolve and/or report any equipment problems promptly for resolution

Barista Job Requirements:
- Minimum 1-2 years prior barista or related retail food & beverage customer-facing experience

- Obsessed with product quality and delivering outstanding customer service
- Self-motivated and trustworthy, able to work with minimal supervision
- Strong client-facing, interpersonal communication skills
