Role Description

The Hotel Receptionist position is based on-site at The Park Hotel in Dungarvan. You will work as part of the front office team to allow the smooth and efficient operations of the reception area by ensuring we exceed our customer’s expectations, and deal with all our guest interactions and queries in a professional, timely and courteous manner.

You will work closely with our Reservations Team and will have the support and assistance of a strong front office team.

Role Responsibilities

  • Initially, fully familiarise yourself with the hotel layout, capacities and facilities, i.e. bedrooms, holiday homes, dining, bars, function suites, health club, etc.
  • Become fully adept with the operating systems – Hotsoft, tablepath, phone system, payment systems, etc.
  • Help to co-ordinate all functions of the Reception Team with a hands-on approach
  • Always reinforce a customer-focused approach within the Reception Team
  • Work with the Reception Team to ensure all guests have a positive experience by delivering a smooth check in and check out process
  • Have a good local knowledge and familiarise yourself with local attractions, events, facilities, etc.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure booking information is shared and accurate
  • Ensure quality of data is maintained within the booking system enabling accurate guest history and sales’ information

A 4 Hotel Breakfast Manager owns the “make or break” guest experience. Since breakfast is often the last impression before checkout, this role demands high energy, military precision, and an obsession with service standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service Orchestration: Lead the morning “rush,” managing table turn times and ensuring the buffet remains bountiful and Instagram-ready until the final guest departs
  • Staff Command: Manage the morning roster, ensuring team members are briefed on VIPs, allergies, and the day’s expected “pinch points” based on occupancy
  • Quality Guardianship: Conduct rigorous HACCP checks and ensure the kitchen and floor teams are perfectly aligned on food presentation
