The new Dungarvan & West Waterford Gift Card is an update to the hugely popular paper Chamber Voucher Scheme that kept over €9 million in our local economy - it is available as a physical or digital card.

Dungarvan & West Waterford Chamber have launched their new high-tech gift card, a replacement to their paper vouchers which have generated over millions of Euros in sales since 2008.

Over 100 businesses are registered so far to accept the new Dungarvan & West Waterford Chamber Gift Card, including shops, eateries, salons, venues and services.

Available as either a physical card – a prepaid Mastercard that is swiped at the till – or a digital e-card that is added to digital wallets enabling ‘tap to pay’ technology.

The card is available to buy online or in person from the Dungarvan Tourist Information Office on Main Street and from Dungarvan & West Waterford Chamber at The Court House, Dungarvan.

Organisations benefit from a new corporate ordering site, with the ability to order cards in chosen denominations and quantities with secure delivery. Digital Dungarvan & West Waterford Chamber Gift Cards can be sent to multiple employees on the organisation’s chosen date or time.

What is the D&WW Gift Card?

You choose the card value. Each card can have a value of anything from €10 to €750
Where can I use the card?
More than 100 local shops, cafés, restaurants, salons, service providers and leisure businesses. The list of businesses is linked above and can also be seen using the QR code on the gift card wallet.
How do I use the card?
Exactly like a debit card. Swipe or enter at the payment terminal. The balance updates automatically.
Can I check my balance?
Yes. You can check your card balance anytime via QR code on the back of the physical card.
Can I spend the card in more than one location?
Yes. Spend in multiple businesses until the balance is fully used.
What is the difference between physical and digital cards?
Both work the same.

How long is the card valid for?
Five years from the date of purchase. From month 13 a €2.50 monthly fee will apply. This is to pay for the platform the card sits on.

The new Gift Card is easier for customers, simpler for businesses, digital-payment friendly, secure, and future-proof. It builds on the success of the original programme, which has successfully kept over €1 million annually in the local economy.

How do businesses accept the card?
Once onboarded to the system, the business processes the card exactly like a debit card. No paperwork or manual checks.
How do businesses get onboarded?
Onboarding takes 2–3 minutes beside your payment terminal. The Chamber provides the link and instructions. Only onboarded Chamber members can accept the card.

Terms & Conditions

A 2.50 fee will be deducted each month from the card balance, starting on the day after the 12 month anniversary of when the card was purchased.
This Card can only be used at participating Dungarvan & West Waterford retailers.
Purchase or use of this Card constitutes acceptance of the terms in the cardholder Agreement.
